Health Foods

We often hear that there are foods that are always present in our lives and have many benefits for the entire human body, but we do not know their use.  Many years ago, before these generations and technology, we have been accustomed to natural medical uses that were used by our ancient ancestors, which they always said was better than the manufactured medicine.

Here are some lists of useful foods that you may not have heard of before!

Rock salt, it is one of the purest types of salt that is free from pollutants and chemical components, so it brings great benefits to health, skin and hair. Rock salt or “coarse salt” is classified as one of the chemical compounds scientifically called “sodium chloride”, which is extracted from the sea.  It is crystals of small size and white color, and it also contains a large proportion of vitamins and minerals Coarse salt also contains the most important elements useful for strengthening the body’s immunity, which is the element iodine, as well as the element of sodium and proteins that are generally useful for the health of the body. Everyone seeks to take a hot bath for many reasons, including cleanliness after a hard day’s work, relaxation and listening to calm music, calming the body from stress and others.  However, taking a bath with coarse salt has many benefits that many must acquire in their homes.  Here are some of the benefits of rock salt: Getting rid of daily psychological pressures, relaxing muscles, smoothing and moisturizing the skin, and getting rid of some small wrinkles. Healing wounds and reducing tumors by placing it on the wound.  Relaxing muscles and strengthening bone structure because salt contains sulfate and magnesium, so it is added when showering to hot water because of its benefits. The accumulation of dead skin cells gives the skin a rough appearance, but the rock salt works to exfoliate the dead skin cells, which leads to the appearance of young and glowing skin

“In common salt what we use every time, the sodium chloride percentage is 100%, whereas in the black salt that is available naturally there are other minerals also added to that or it is available along with other minerals like potassium and magnesium which is also quite essential for our system. The black salt is very cooling and is also used as a digestive laxative and most of the ayurvedic medicines” Dr.Mini Nair said

Have you ever heard of the wakame herb? Wakame is a variety of seaweed commonly used in Japanese cuisine.  The scientifically used name is Undaria pinnatifida and although it is considered one of the most invasive species of seaweed on the planet, it is healthy and beneficial when added to any diet.  Found on the rocky coasts of Japan, wakame is commonly used in soups and salads, as well as in the form of a side dish, such as tofu. Wakame herbs are important sources of vitamins and minerals, including iodine, calcium, iron, and magnesium, as well as folic acid, and vitamins A, C, D, E, K, and B2. Wakame also contains lignans and fucoxanthin, which have their own unique health benefits. The first benefit of wakame is that it helps maintain weight. The presence of extremely small amounts of calories, carbohydrates, and fats in wakame is one of the reasons that dieters help maintain the number of calories in the body without adding too many calories.  And not only that, but researchers have also discovered that it is a compound called fucoxanthin in wakame that actually prevents the accumulation of fat in cells and stimulates the oxidation of fats.  This unique compound, rare in vegetables, is the reason why wakame has its unusual brown color, as it also helps with photosynthesis. Wakame actually helps protect the body from cancer.  Iodine, which is an essential part of any diet, is very high in all seaweeds, particularly wakame.  Iodine has been linked to lower levels of breast cancer

Wakame also lowers blood sugar and improves insulin resistance. Calcium is an important and required element for the health of the body and the strengthening that many of us need, especially in strengthening the bones, nails, and hair.  Wakame herbs, which contain calcium, are one of the foods most people look for in order to find calcium. 48% of US consumers are willing or strongly willing to pay a premium for calcium-containing products, with 20% aged 55-70 actively seeking out bone health products, according to (NUTRA). Wakame benefits for bone health, calcium is one of the most important minerals when it comes to protecting the integrity and durability of our bones. The high levels of calcium found in wakame help the body increase bone growth and speed up repair, thus preventing the early onset of osteoporosis and maintaining a fit and healthy person. So, wakame is a very important herb that I did not personally know, so we will summarize the great and important benefits of these herbs:

Low calories, rich in nutrients, rich in vitamins, rich in minerals, avoids the thyroid, it reduces cholesterol, reduces blood sugar, reduces weight, reduces cancer cells, contributes to brain health.

But experts warn against eating these herbs in large quantities, as a large amount of iodine leads to diseases.  It is also rich in sodium, so it is recommended to eat it in moderate quantities to avoid those who suffer from pressure problems

Finally: Ginkgo biloba! A little bit strange name! Ginkgo biloba is one of the most important wild herbs that grow in the world and is known by many names such as the ginkgo herb or ginkgo. This herb has been used since ancient times, as the ancient Chinese used to treat. It is one of the oldest types of medicinal trees. Most ginkgo products are made with an extract prepared from its leaves. It is believed that the most beneficial components in ginkgo are flavonoids, which have powerful antioxidant properties, and terpenoids, which help improve blood circulation by dilating blood vessels and reducing the stickiness of platelets.  Most research on ginkgo tree extract focuses on its effects on dementia, memory, and pain due to reduced blood flow (claudication).
